Intown Referee training (Genesis Referee Program)

 

WHEN: Sunday March 29, 2020

TIME: 3:00PM to 6:00PM

WHERE: 4th of July Building (Across from the High School)

WHO: Eligible for current WYSA Grade 7th and grade 8th enrolled in a travel team

REGISTER: All participants must register for this FREE training in SportsPilot via the link below in order to attend. Please note this class is limited to 20 members.

Genesis Referee Program is a hands on training opportunity for current 7th and 8th grade intown referees. Enrolling in this program is an additional opportunity for your son or daughter to elevate their referee skills and game knowledge while helping officiate 2nd grade games.

This path could lead to a Travel Referee Certification.

This program consists of:

1. A one-time 2-3hr classroom training to be done by a certified Massachusetts Referee Advisor

2. On field mentoring with a USSF certified referee

3. Extra exposure to referee more 2nd grade games (will still be eligible to referee other intown opportunities as available)

4. Free Genesis Referee Program Shirt

5. Increase in fee up to $12 per game plus snack shack ticket

6. Ability to MAKE MORE MONEY$$$$

Registration for the Spring 2020 Intown season is now open. 
 
Please register now only 5 days left for early bird pricing.  A $30 late fee will be applied if registering after February 15th.  
 
For Whom: Pre K through Grade 2
Program Costs: $65 for Pre-K and $85 for Kinders through Grade 2

Season Information: Kinder through grade 2 tentative start date of April 11th (9 week season). Pre-K tentative start date of April 18th (7 week season).
 
Additional Program Info:

 - Pre K players must be the age of 4 by 3/31 for Spring season or 8/31 for Fall season to enroll in the PreK program.
 
 - All other intown grade levels are grade specific.  For example, if your child is currently enrolled in Kindergarten, your child should play in the Kindergarten program for fall and spring seasons.  If your child has not yet entered kindergarten, they should register for PreK program.
 
 - Pre K through grade 2 games held on Saturdays.
 
 - Grade 1 and grade 2 practices 1 night per week. PreK/Kinders practices during Saturday sessions.
 
 - Families registering 3 children there is a 10% discount and for 4 children there is a 20% discount. Discounts are processed manually and will be sent to families after the season has started.
 
 - Registration received after February 15th are considered late registrants and they will be placed on a waiting list and charged a late fee of $30 per player. WYSA will make every effort to place the child on a team. If WYSA is not able to place late registrants on a team, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
 
 - A uniform will be provided which consists of shirt and socks. Players must wear cleats and shin guards for all games and practices.
 
 - All first time players must provide a copy of their birth certificate in order to play so we can verify age.

Wilmington Fit Body Boot Camp!

WYSA will be partnering with Wilmington Fit Body Bootcamp to offer a Sports Performance Program all Winter! FBBC will offer a soccer-specific strength and conditioning program to WYSA Middle School Players, Co-ed 6th thru 8th Grade.


We have seen the difference this type of program makes in developing athletes, and most importantly, reducing injuries.

As part of a youth soccer player's overall athletic development, it is important for them to play different sports and participate in activities that will provide a different workload for both their mind and body.

WYSA is looking for referees

Massachusetts and WYSA is looking for new referees!!!!!  Get involved, make a difference, make money!

 

WYSA and MA need more referees who are serious about the game and want a great job.

 

Referees of all levels are needed - Adults and those age 14 and older are strongly encouraged to take the course.  If you are not yet 14 yrs old but have an interest in refereeing please contact Darwin Molina for specific program at WYSA.

 

Be a positive part of making soccer programs a success. Refereeing can lead to exciting opportunities.
